Tapbooty is one of the programs that allows you to download apps and earn money in the process. Tapbooty is quite new, having only launched in April 2013. It is similar to many programs like Featurepoints.
What I like about them is probably the low cash out rate of just $1, which makes it really easy for a new user to earn their first buck the moment they sign up.
EDIT: Tapbooty has closed down on 30/4/2015. I will leave this review page up for anyone who want to see what Tapbooty was all about. Why not try Featurepoints instead?

How to get Started
Access the Tapbooty site on your mobile device in order to begin the signup process. Click on the link here to be directed to the home page to start!
You should see a page similar to this. The signup process will require you to log into your Facebook account as well. Those worried about being spammed through Facebook, rest assured that Tapbooty has not spam me with notifications or my wall at all. If you are ready, click on the ‘Get Started’ Green button to start!
Step 1 requires you to sign in with Facebook. If you are concerned, they have the Privacy Policy and Terms of condition which are all laid out for you to read.
After logging into Facebook in Step 1, Step 2 will require you to download the Tapbooty app. Go ahead and click the box and follow the instructions to get your 100 booty coins/points.
The Tapbooty app will look something like the picture on the right. You can access a few options:
- Go to Tapbooty Now: Goes to the main page of Tapbooty to download apps, watch videos and special offers (See picture below).
- Earn Booty Coins: Access to a short list of apps/videos to download to earn coins from an advertiser.
- Earn More Booty Coins: Access to another list of apps/videos to download from another advertiser.
- Earnings & Referrals: See your own referral link here (More details below).
- Contact Support: Any questions or queries, you can contact them through here for things like apps not crediting coins properly.
- Play with Booty Cat: Nothing much, but try it and you will know!
- Log out: If you want to change Facebook accounts, you can log out here.
How to use the app
At this point, you would have set up your account fully and received 100 coins just for installing the Tapbooty app. You can go ahead and jump in by downloading your very first app! Just like many other programs that are similar to this, you are required to open the app for about 30 seconds to a minute before the points are credited to your account.
Once you go to the main page of the site, or click ‘Go to Tapbooty Now‘ on your app, you will see the following picture below.
Free Apps
When you access the main page of Tapbooty, you will be shown the list of apps you can download.
Click the app you would wish to try, open it for 30 seconds to 1 minute (I Recommend slightly longer to be safer) without any interruption, then go back to see if your coins are credited to your account. Once the coin are in, you are free to keep the app or you can just uninstall the app.
Videos
The Videos page allows you to view videos in order to earn coins. It is usually a brief video on the app or product which runs from 15 seconds to 30 seconds. Do not expect to get much coins from this method, but it is definitely easier to earn as all you need to do is view a video and you get coins!
Specials
The Specials page is usually paid apps or product which you can try, and are given coins just like the free apps. I do not usually recommend using this section unless you really want a particular app, which by all means go ahead and download it through here as you are getting a small rebate back for your purchase.
Tapbooty web is done by accessing Tapbooty on your PC, and can be done by logging into Facebook from your computer. It is roughly similar as most offers would tell you to install apps in order to earn coins as well.
Cashing Out
With a low minimum cash out of 1000 points to $1, you can probably hit your first cash out the moment you start using it. The exchange rate would be 10 points = $0.01 , and you would cash out all your balance when you choose to redeem the Amazon Gift Card or Paypal Reward.
Alternatively, you can choose to gamble your coins to earn more coins with two games:
- Cupcake Cash – You spend 50 points to open 9 cards. The more cupcakes revealed, the more points you earn!
- Booty Dice – Spend 20, 100 or 500 coins for a chance to win 5x your bet.
I usually do not recommend gambling as you have a higher odds of losing like most gambling games, unless you feel like trying something new or feeling lucky.
Personal Tips
- Once you click and download the app, open it without minimizing so that it would not bug and not award points at times.
- If you do not get credit for points, you can contact customer support through the app
- You can delete the apps after downloading once the coins are credited to your account.
Referrals
When you refer a friend, both of you would immediately get 100 coins. After that, you would get 100 coins every 1000 coins your friend earns. This is pretty much 10% commission rate! You can refer to my link at the top of the page to sign up through my link and start off with 100 coins!
You can access your link through the Tapbooty app, where you can copy your referral link. You can also access your link under the Special tab as well where you can choose to share or tweet your link to social media!
Payment Proof
I have used Tapbooty quite recently, and have cashed out 3 times in the past year. The picture below are 3 of my payments received from the company. It is not too hard to earn some cash for minimal amount of work really!
Final Thoughts
Tapbooty is one of the many app downloading programs that awards you cash for trying new apps out. I will continue to review some of the ones that I have personally used so far, and including those I have not used but will recommend the ones that are still credible. I agree, there are many companies out there doing things similar to Tapbooty that it may be a little saturated. However, the users are the one that stand to gain a bit from all these deals.

There are a lot of apps that are similar to Tapbooty. Basically how it works: App developers pay companies like Tapbooty to advertise, and pay them for every download they get. Tapbooty will then ‘pass’ some of this money onto the users by giving them an incentive to download an app. Hope that answers your question!
